Most open between September and December for the following summer, and many close by January or February. Places are limited and some close early, so it's worth applying as soon as you can.
They're usually aimed at students in the penultimate year of their degree, though some firms also accept final-year students or recent graduates. Each programme's own page says who can apply.
Often. Many firms use their summer internship to recruit for their graduate scheme, and interns who do well may be offered a graduate place at the end.
